Welcome to BOO! by 815 Media, LLC – the haunted attraction discovery platform built for thrill-seekers, families, and fall fanatics. These Terms of Service outline the rights and responsibilities that come with using our website, widgets, API, and community features.

1. Who We Are

BOO! is operated by 815 Media, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), headquartered in Illinois, USA. We curate haunted attractions, local fall events, and community-driven content so fans can plan their next spooky outing.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing `boo.815.media`, `hauntedhouses4u.com`, our widgets, or the BOO! API, you agree to follow these terms and all applicable laws. If you do not agree, please do not use the services. Continued use after updates means you accept the new terms.

3. Accounts & Access

  • 🧙‍♂️Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Parents or guardians should supervise minors.
  • 🔐Login Security: Keep your credentials secret. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • 🧪Partner & API Access: Partners may request widgets and API keys. Keys are revocable, scoped, and must not be shared outside your organization.

4. User-Generated Content

Community uploads power our haunted gallery. You may submit attraction listings, edits, photos, and votes. When you contribute content, you confirm:

  • 📸You own the rights to the images you upload or have permission to share them.
  • 🦇Your photos are spooky-fun and family friendly. No hate, violence, or unlawful content.
  • 🕵️‍♀️You grant BOO! a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, adapt, and distribute the content across our sites, widgets, and API to help fans discover attractions.
  • 🛡️Uploads are reviewed by our admin team before publication. We may remove content at any time for policy or legal reasons.
  • 🗳️Votes you cast on community photos are public tallies tied to your account. We limit voting to deter spam.

5. Attraction Information

We collect attraction submissions, location details, contact information, and operational notes from owners, staff, and fans. By submitting or editing attraction data you:

  • 📍Confirm the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • 🕸️Allow BOO! to publish, syndicate, and update the data across our site, interactive maps, directories, leaderboards, and partner widgets.
  • 🧭Acknowledge that we may enhance submissions with metadata (geo-coordinates, categories, tags) to improve discovery.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Let’s keep the haunted halls friendly. You agree not to:

  • 👻Upload illegal, defamatory, infringing, or NSFW material.
  • 💀Manipulate votes, ratings, or API traffic through bots or scripts.
  • 🔌Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell our data without written permission.
  • 🧟‍♀️Distribute malware, spam, or conduct denial-of-service attacks.

7. Intellectual Property

All logos, branding, Halloween artwork, code, and content authored by BOO! remain our property. Partners may use approved badges and assets according to our brand guidelines. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

8. API & Widget Usage

  • 🔑API keys are issued per organization and must include `utm_source=widget`, `utm_medium=referral`, `utm_campaign=boo_launch` on partner widgets linking to boo.815.media.
  • 📊Usage is monitored for quotas, latency, and abuse. We may rate-limit or suspend keys that exceed promo limits or pose risks.
  • 🪄Widgets must not be modified to remove attribution or BOO! branding without written consent.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

We aim for accuracy, but haunted attractions may change hours, prices, or safety rules unexpectedly. Services are provided "as-is" without guarantees. To the fullest extent allowed by law, BOO! is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our platforms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts, API keys, or widget access for violation of these terms, suspected fraud, or legal compliance. You may close your account anytime by contacting support. Sections covering intellectual property, disclaimers, and liabilities survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
